The Fire Inspectors Association of Nova Scotia (FIANS)

We are a provincial association that represents individuals and organizations that are dedicated to saving lives and property through the prevention of fires. Education for those on the ground and information sharing between our members, is important to achieve this goal.

The Association has developed a comprehensive professional studies program that ensures individuals in the field are current and well versed with the National Fire Code. FIANS believes it is important for fire inspectors in the province to understand the technology they may encounter. As such, the Association continues to develop education programs to meet this need.
