The Board of Directors of FIANS is happy to announce the launch of the Professional Education Program – fast track option. This one time opportunity will allow an individual to complete their Level 1 and Level 2 certifications in a 10 month period.
In an effort to allow you to plan, we are providing you with some of the details and the 
calendar. Courses will begin in September of 2025, and will run through to June 2026. There will be 2 offerings per month.
At this time, all classes are scheduled to be held at the Office of the Fire Marshal in Dartmouth (250 Baker Drive – Entrance A – Second floor). All classes will be 3 days in duration and will comprise 2.5 days of learning and an exam on the final afternoon.
The registration fee is set at $875 per course for members and $1225 for non members. Registration will open no later than August 1st and will be done on our website at fians.ns.ca. An email will be sent to you once the link is live.
As a reminder, the new Professional Education Program rotation will begin September 2026 with the introduction of a new cycle of Level 1 courses. At that time, one course will be offered each month allowing an individual to complete their programing in less than one year. The new Level 2 courses will begin in September 2027 and will follow the same pattern. The course rotation will be made available early in 2026.
